The white label Squid.link gateway comes with an API that allows for an easy cloud integration and thus enables Blackdorf to easily integrate existing clouds such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or the Google cloud with the IoT solution.
The gateways can also be equipped with a variety of communication protocols enabling the integration of 3rd party devices, for instance via Bluetooth, in addition to the white label Zigbee sensors.

An Insurtech solution for a large European insurance provider
Together with Onics, Blackdorf has developed an Insurtech solution for a large European insurance provider who wanted to offer online insurance services. The solution consists of a kit with a Squid.link gateway, a smoke alarm, and a water leak detector from Onics, a finder from a 3rd party company, and software from Blackdorf.
After a proof of concept with raspberry pie, Blackdorf was looking for hardware capable of scaling the solution in order to focus on developing the software for the insurance company. The Squid.link gateway enables easy scaling of a solution as it is able to handle complex solutions with a large number of devices.
With the white label devices from Onics, Blackdorf was able to develop the software in a short time.
