GridDuck offers an end-to-end energy management solution for commercial buildings aiming to help businesses from various industries save energy and thereby reduce carbon emissions.

The UK-based company GridDuck offers an energy management system that makes it easy for businesses to become aware of and reduce their energy consumption by enabling electricity monitoring, remote control, and automation of appliances.
The solution consists of a variety of devices from Onics and 3rd party companies as well as software developed by GridDuck.
A secure and flexible energy management solution
For their solution, GridDuck was looking for a hardware partner that could supply reliable and secure Zigbee devices. Due to its high level of security and frequent use in energy management systems, the Zigbee protocol is a great fit for GridDuck’s solution.
The Zigbee-based devices offered by Onics are mature and thoroughly tested and have been used in various solutions, including energy management and security. They are reliable and secure, ensuring that the data collected is accurate and protected.
The gateways also enable a flexible, multi-protocol solution as they make it possible to connect to devices via different communication protocols such as Zigbee, Wireless M-Bus, and Bluetooth Low Energy. To ensure a reliable internet connection, the Squid.link gateways can connect to the internet via Ethernet, WLAN, or cellular networks.
The development tools and comprehensive developer documentation of the Squid.link gateways made it easy for GridDuck to develop their application on top of the gateway.
