Nearsens provides a user-friendly and easy-to-install all-in-one smart home safety and security system based on mature and proven technology from Onics and Safe4.
IoT technology brings new opportunities such as remote monitoring and home automation to the home security sector. The French company Nearsens aims to provide their customers with an all-in-one solution that enables them to protect their homes and family as well as enjoy smart home comforts and energy monitoring.
The security solution includes a gateway and a large variety of sensors and alarms from which the customer can choose the devices they need for their specific use case. Available products include the Motion Sensor, Entry Sensor, Intelligent Keypad, Smart Siren, and Smart Plug Mini from Onics as well as 3rd party cameras and door locks.
The connected app enables the user to get security alerts at any time, monitor and control their home, and manage access.

Easy-to-use and secure solution thanks to Zigbee protocol
One of Nearsens’ main requirements for their solution is that it is easy to use. They chose to base their solution on the Zigbee protocol which supports easy pairing and unpairing of devices.
Zigbee is a secure and reliable protocol and thus well-suited for security solutions. Communication via Zigbee is protected with AES-128 encryption as well as different types of keys to ensure that the data is kept private. Its mesh network structure means a high level of stability as signals can travel to the gateway via different paths and change the path if one device fails.
