The platform combines discreet in-home sensors, AI-powered behavioral intelligence, and HalleyHotline's conversational AI intervention layer to identify early signals of health, safety, and household risk before incidents escalate into injury, property damage, or Insurtech claims.
In aged care, visibility between staff observations and clinical assessments is often limited. This makes it difficult to detect subtle changes in resident behavior, unusual inactivity, repeated night-time movement, or other emerging risk patterns.

Onics' wireless motion sensors were deployed across resident rooms to capture continuous in-room activity, movement events, and bed-related behavior.
These sensors provided the real-time data foundation required for HalleyAssist's® AI behavioral modelling. By analyzing this data, the platform identified changes in resident movement and behavioral patterns and enabled care teams to intervene earlier.
This made it possible to distinguish actual resident behavior from assumptions based on periodic observations.
During the deployment, the combined solution identified hidden risk patterns, including repeated bed exits at specific times of night, which had not been detected through clinical observation alone. It also revealed that the resident was more mobile in-room than previously believed.
This gave care teams a clearer picture of real behaviour, helping them replace assumptions with data-driven insight and enabling more proactive, personalised care.
By combining reliable motion data with AI-powered behavioral intelligence, HalleyAssist® enabled care teams to move from reactive monitoring to proactive fall prevention.
During the 12-week deployment in Australia, predicted in-room falls were reduced from an expected nine to justone actual fall. The solution also improved staff confidence, reduced reliance on non-actionable alerts, and supported more personalized, data-driven care planning.
