Onics welcomes four new interns in our R&D department

We are happy to welcome four new interns to Onics!

Nicolai, Martin, Bertil, and Emil have joined different teams within Onics' development department as part of their studies. During their Internships, they will get hands-on experience with everything from product and hardware development to firmware and software - while hopefully learning a lot along the way.

Emil Wendel Henriksen

Emil is studying Software Technology at Aarhus University and has joined our software team, where he works with the continued development of the Fleet Management Services and the Squid Smart App.

Emil is not entirely new to Onics. He joined us as a student worker about a year ago and is now continuing with us as part of his 5th-semester internship. Emil enjoys getting challenging tasks that do not necessarily have an obvious solution and working together with the teams to figure them out.

In his spare time, Emil loves spending time with friends, whether that means gaming or heading out for an activity together.

Bertil Sonnichsen

Berti is studying Software Technology and is currently in his 5th semester. He has joined our Firmware team, where he has already been working on testing and troubleshooting. What Bertil enjoys the most is getting the opportunity to dive into subjects and technologies that have only been touched upon during his studies.

Outside of work and studies, Bertil enjoys playing the piano and composing his own small pieces of music. He also likes spending time with his family, girlfriend, and friends.

Nicolai Wenzel Søgaard Nielsen

Nicolai is studying Mechanical Engineering at Aarhus University and is currently in his 5th semester. As part of his internship, he works on product development and will be involved in redesigning parts of our product line, working with idea generation, CAD, and product optimization.

Alongside his studies, Nicolai is part of AU Dolphins, where he has worked on the bodywork of their race car. He is also a big sports fan and has played handball throughout his life - currently playing division handball in the south of Aarhus.

Martin Schmidt Holm

Martin is studying IT Technology and Electronics at Business Academy Aarhus and has joined our Hardware team, where he is working on the development of a test controller. Before studying electronics, Martin worked as a school teacher.

When he is not working with hardware, Martin likes to stay active. He runs and goes road cycling several times a week and also enjoys playing the piano and guitar.

We are happy to have all four of them as part of Onics and look forward to seeing what they get up to during their internship.
